For over 10 years I have produced a chapter of Mortified, an international stage show that features adults reading from what we call the strange and extraordinary things we created as kids: their real teenage diaries, poems, lyrics, and letters. The show has been lauded by critics for years, has been the subject of two television series, and has inspired the weekly Mortified podcast, part of the Radiotopia family on the PRX network.
My role is to work with prospective readers to curate their diaries and craft them into a performance piece, coordinate and produce all aspects of the stage shows in New England, create and distribute marketing and PR materials, and assist in fine-tuning pieces that are featured in the podcast.
